MusArt
MusArt is an educational program dedicated to giving students the chance to excel in the fine arts and in the skills that grow from them. By designing lessons that are based on the core curriculum of the teacher, learning is enhanced in the academic subjects.
MusArt understands that an administrator is always faced with providing their students with a superb learning environment -But- within the confines of an ever tightening budget. When that budget gets tighter, an arts program is always the first to go. What is not kept in mind when cutting that budget is that the fine arts opens a child’s mind to explore curricula in a creative manner and without hesitation. Studies have proven this time and time again. Without the arts, the student is one-dimensional and less likely to be able to think across the board. Too many schools must make do without a professional fine arts educator and the classroom teacher is left to fill in the required minutes. This is not only unfair to the classroom teacher, but most importantly, it is unfair to the education of the student.
MusArt was created to enhance the school curriculum and to create for students an atmosphere where learning is not only educational, but fun. MusArt offers very unique ways to accomplish this with the school budget in mind. One is through an overall music program for your school and the other is through instrumental music lessons.
The overall MusArt program offers to the school the opportunity for presenting an educational experience that allows the student to recognize that their education is not built around singular subjects, but that they are all interconnected. Parents begin to see the effect of the program through their child’s ability to relate one school subject to the other. This can only improve grades and bring about a healthy curiosity to explore more. There is a program for pre-school, kindergarten, 1-8 and high school.
The instrumental program is an easy way for parents to introduce their children to the art of playing a musical instrument. This is done within the setting of the school day and is of little interruption to classes or as an after school program. Teachers often comment how these lessons have helped children to do better in their classes. Recitals, concerts, and master classes round out this excellent experience into the world of performance art.
MusArt picks up where the standard music class leaves off.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the current challenges that the Covid crisis is producing, the MusArt In School Programs will be on hiatus while we gently restructure our programs to accommodate the situation.
